Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts in process and final visual inspections of manufactured steel components in accordance with AWS D1.1 and dimensional inspections.
  • Visually inspects all manufactured parts (or a representative number) to ensure they are manufactured per the correct drawings/specifications.
  • Performs Magparticle inspections per the Quality Control manual.
  • Inspects tower sections that have been painted or galvanized.
  • Inspects out-going loads to ensure all parts, sections and barrels of hardware are present, and photographs the loads for documentation.
  • Moves and loads materials for quality inspections.
  • Performs work in indoor or outdoor environments as needed.
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in your area of operation.
  • Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Requirements:
  • Successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years recent quality experience relating to welding and/or metals fabrication.
  • Solid ability to read and interpret blue prints and drawings, proficient with reading a tape measure, attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills and be able contribute to a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, frequently exerting up to 30 pounds of force, perform work in indoor and outdoor environments and contribute to safety and quality control standards.

Shipping Quality Control Inspector

Responsibilities:

Qualified individual will be responsible to perform the following duties.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs quality checks on all materials to be processed for orders/
  • Verifies that all correct part numbers and quantity of material matches the pick tickets.
  • Ensures that there are no defects in the craftsmanship of the material.
  • Ensures that the material conforms to customer requirements for packaging and labeling.
  • Photographs all packaged and staged materials prior to shipments.

Requirements:
Successful candidate will have 2-3 years recent experience working in a warehouse environment. Candidate must be able to read and interpret shipping schedules, be detail oriented, and demonstrate the ability to identify errors and apply corrective action to remedy the error. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, along with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and contribute to the success of the team.

Construction Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manages site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective workforce utilization.  Develops plans that are appropriate, comprehensive and effective in the scheduling of crews and subcontractors for the successful completion of work. 
  • Provides crews, site supervisors and subcontractors with required documentation to complete jobs and tasks effectively including, but not limited to – work orders, scope of work, construction drawings, bill of materials, customer timelines; and customer required status and closeout documentation requirements.
  • Accountable for jobs and tasks being completed on time with high quality.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of general administrative work including daily reports, safety reports and pre-construction meetings.
  • Communicates oral and written information accurately, concisely, and in a form appropriate to the target audience.

Candidates with experience in the communication tower construction industry are preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, along with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while contributing to the success of the team. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Word, Outlook, and Excel. Must be able to travel and stay overnight up to 75%, and have the ability to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to the elements of nature under normal construction conditions.

Sr. Structural Detailer

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares detail and assembly drawings, bills of material, and design layouts based on engineering specifications.
  • Checks the accuracy, technical content, and adherence to instructions and tolerances on all drawings and the adequacy of design layouts.
  • Corrects or supervises the revisions of drawings and bills of material.
  • Releases projects to the production floor after drawings have been corrected and/or revised.
  • Trains new personnel.
  • Assists with supervising the work of other drafters involved in producing required drawings.
  • Troubleshoots errors that occur in the shop during fabrication or in the field during installation.
  • Informs drafting personnel of new drafting standards and procedures and assists in the creation of new drafting standards and policies.
  • Confers with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Quality Control on design implementation of drawings.

Requirements:
  • Successful candidate must possess an Associate's degree in Architectural Construction Engineering or related field, along with 5-10 years' experience in a technical and administrative capacity.
  • Candidates with experience in designing and detailing self-support and guyed towers are preferred.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly operations, material and other related manufacturing processes.
  • Must be analytical with creative problem solving capabilities.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment, along with strong time management skills.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, or Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

QC/Site Safety Auditor

Responsibilities:
Qualified individual will be responsible to perform the following duties.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Develops and implements a site safety audit program to include, but not limited to the following elements: Random audits of both in-house and subcontracted crews with regards to overall climber safety and general fire safety
  • Functions as a direct contact between the Company and the field.
  • Ensures that subcontractors are conducting the proper training requirements as per the OSHA standards.
  • Conducts random jobsite and work area inspections and completes reports noting safety and/or quality violations.
  • Participates in regular meetings to brief the staff on safety or quality issues on the projects and to keep informed of the progress of the job.
  • Participates in project pre-planning meetings, to ensure that safety is part of all work plans.
  • Understands and enforces OSHA and other federal, state and local standards as well as Company subcontractor safety polices for the purpose of establishing a safe work environment on all projects.
  • Performs quality inspections of overall installation.
  • Reviews sub-contractors work and inspects materials provided by suppliers in the field.
  • Prepares and transmits daily QC/QA reports to include photos and a daily narrative of project activities.
  • Attends pre-construction meetings.
  • Communicates on-site needs and concerns to the project manager.
  • Identifies contractor concerns and communicates the concerns to the project manager.

Requirements:
Successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or other related field, along with a 5 years experience in wireless communications construction, environmental or remote site experience. OSHA 30-Hour certification is required, and Tower Safety & Construction certification is preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, along with strong organizational and time management skills. Must be familiar with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Candidate must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work effectively under minimum supervision and have strong attention to detail. Must provide proof of a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel 90% of the time.

  • Communicates and meets with the customers on a regular basis providing continual updates regarding project status and issues to effectively manage customer expectations
  • Develops and grows customer relationships to expand market share and build market recognition.  
  • Understands and educates internal staff and subcontractors for all customer requirements, scopes, deliverables and timelines. 
  • Actively manages job costs to meet or exceed budget for direct and indirect expenses. Understands and analyzes all daily, weekly and monthly financial, status, labor and other job related reports to effectively control costs and maximize profitability.
  • Provides crews, site supervisors and subcontractors with required documentation to complete jobs and tasks effectively including, but not limited to – work orders, scope of work, construction drawings, bill of materials, customer timelines; and customer required status and closeout documentation requirements.

  • Accountable for ensuring all employees receive required applicable training including FAA/FCC, Competent Climber, Tower Rescue, OSHA, EME Awareness, CPR/First Aid, FOM and DOT.
  • Manages all aspects of subcontractor relations (qualification, negotiation, selection, evaluation, performance, etc.).
