Payroll Specialist

Sioux City, IA

Responsibilities:
  • In conjunction with the other payroll staff, performs all payroll related processing for exempt and non-exempt employees
  • Works with company locations and personnel as required ensuring accurate payroll processing
  • Reviews payroll for completeness and accuracy. Ensures the computing, withholding or deductions associated with net pay is completed properly.
  • Approves journals to balance accounts
  • Resolves processing discrepancies
  • Completes a variety of government reports
  • Maintains employee payroll records and time card processing/reconciliation
  • Ensures complete collection of all hours worked data from each location to produce weekly and biweekly payrolls. Reviews and imports time entries from the time clocks or via spreadsheets completed and approved by the appropriate management.
  • Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal, state and local authorities, such as W-2's
  • Oversees the distribution of paychecks and distribution of reports
  • Creates payroll data reports for management

Requirements:
  • Must be familiar with state and federal payroll laws
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as HRIS systems.

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Business or related field, along with at least 2 years recent payroll processing experience.
  • Candidates with payroll certifications are preferred

Structural/Civil Engineer (E.I.)

Responsibilities:
  • Structural design of new steel towers and reinforced concrete foundations
  • Foundation design based on provided geotechnical information
  • Structural analysis of existing towers for revised loading
  • Structural design of tower and foundation modifications
  • Review of third-party structural modification designs, identifying potential obstacles and developing solutions
  • Manual calculations to verify computer-generated results when necessary
  • Professional development toward licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.)

Requirements:
  • Ability and desire to learn all of the technical details of industry standards, and apply them to engineering procedures in order to design safe and efficient structures.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, have full attention to detail and communicate in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

Production Scheduler

  • Prepare and maintain the production schedule
  • Prioritize all jobs and distribute accordingly
  • Regulate the production schedule, as required, to handle special jobs

Requirements:
  • 3 years' experience working in a production environment

Inventory Control Specialist

Responsibilities:
  • Reconciles the cycle counts of all parts and materials
  • Maintains bin accuracy and precise counts for both inside and outside bins
  • Tracks and records heat numbers for all jobs and production orders
  • Inputs correct counts of material and parts into Epicor
  • Verifies all material and parts are returned including counts, part numbers, and check for damage
  • Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in area of operation
  • Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years of recent inventory control or warehouse experience, along with forklift operating experience

Sr. Buyer, Purchasing

Responsibilities:
  • Successfully negotiate purchases of required materials and supplies
  • Utilize an ERP/MRP system to review material requirements and on hand inventory to maintain efficient levels of stock and material coverage for job requirements while optimizing inventory levelsĀ 
  • Expedite and track purchase orders with suppliers to insure on time deliveries
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers
  • Establish VMI programs while leveraging purchasing power
  • RFQ commodities on a regular basis
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend potential new opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements
  • Manage rejected materials with suppliers and quality control
  • Maintain total cost of ownership through supplier terms and conditions, including decisions with logistics
  • Work within a team environment to coordinate projects/materials between departments
  • Gain thorough knowledge of commodities within a given timeframe

Requirements:
  • 5+ years recent purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the steel industry
  • Strong and effective negotiation skills

Construction Estimator

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a proficiency in product knowledge, its applications and all job related functions
  • Manage multiple sales regions with a thorough understanding of specific customer needs
  • Assure accurate estimates by gathering specifications, drawings and related documents for complete project information
  • Compile project costs by analyzing project details using company computer hardware and software
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in order to detect problems with costing methods, assumptions and procedures
  • Present prepared estimates to the Regional Sales Manager by assembling and organizing numerical and descriptive cost information in a format approved by the company

Sr. Structural Detailer

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares detail and assembly drawings, bills of material, and design layouts based on engineering specifications.
  • Checks the accuracy, technical content, and adherence to instructions and tolerances on all drawings and the adequacy of design layouts.
  • Corrects or supervises the revisions of drawings and bills of material.
  • Releases projects to the production floor after drawings have been corrected and/or revised.
  • Trains new personnel.
  • Assists with supervising the work of other drafters involved in producing required drawings.
  • Troubleshoots errors that occur in the shop during fabrication or in the field during installation.
  • Informs drafting personnel of new drafting standards and procedures and assists in the creation of new drafting standards and policies.
  • Confers with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Quality Control on design implementation of drawings.

Requirements:
  • Successful candidate must possess an Associate's degree in Architectural Construction Engineering or related field, along with 5-10 years' experience in a technical and administrative capacity.
  • Candidates with experience in designing and detailing self-support and guyed towers are preferred.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly operations, material and other related manufacturing processes.
  • Must be analytical with creative problem solving capabilities.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational skills, the ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment, along with strong time management skills.
  • Candidates must have working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, or Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Data Storage Administrator

Responsibilities:
  • Handle first point escalation for all technical and process issues
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required
  • Ensure proper communication and quick resolution
  • Plan and schedule changes, coordinating with different stakeholders
  • Perform trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents, hardware troubleshooting and vendor coordination
  • Participate in business meetings with various stakeholders on an as needed basis

Requirements:
  • NetBackup (mandatory)
  • Broad infrastructure experience covering Enterprise Storage hardware and Software, NetApp preferred. Experience with Virtualization software such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with the newest storage technologies such as Flash arrays, Hadoop, Object storage and high performance NAS
  • Experience working with internal customers as well as cultivation relationships with key Vendors such as NetApp, Symantec, and VMware (Vcenter)
  • Experience managing enterprise SAN/NAS arrays
  • Knowledge in multiple Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • Superior documentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of backup infrastructure, technologies, and strategies in enterprise environments
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise data protection requirements
  • Windows Server Administration experience
  • Windows Desktop Administration
  • Some travel required

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of storage management or backup experience
